Long is the founder of Cubicten LLC, a creative technology and design agency based in New York and Shanghai. His work focuses on designing and delivering immersive experiences that integrate design, science, and technology across exhibitions, museums, stages, cultural institutions, and brand environments.

Through Cubicten, he has led projects spanning interactive installations, virtual production, and integrated playback and mapping solutions, working with a global network of collaborators across the U.S., Europe, and China. His practice bridges concept development, technical integration, and spatial execution, aligning creative vision with buildable, real-world outcomes.

With an interdisciplinary background across astrophysics, architecture, and interactive media, Long approaches design as both a scientific and poetic discipline, balancing empirical rigor with experimental thinking. His work often explores the relationship between systems, perception, and storytelling, creating experiences that are both technically precise and emotionally resonant.

He holds an MPS from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) and a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute, after beginning his academic path in astronomy, physics, and mathematics at the University of Arizona. He previously worked at CannonDesign and Colkitt Architecture, contributing to design competitions and delivering residential and commercial projects across North America. He continues to engage with academic communities through invited critiques and collaborations.
