SOUND - GRAPHIC
Week 10 | 11/15/2022
Following Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major, Felipe Sarro played a piano version of its Prélude. In this project, the waveform of the piano piece is taken, in order to create a graphic which visually represents the piece. Each peak of the waveform is recorded and transferred to the dimension of a series of ellipses. The ellipses are placed randomly on the canvas which takes place on the full screen. Inspired by some late works of Claude Monet, both the color and alpha levels of each ellipse are unique, to create a shallow representation of impressionism paintings.
