Ideation
We would like to make a box that unrolls itself from 3D to 2D surface when the interaction is triggered. The ideal situation would be when the user is close by, the box would get “scared” hence triggered to unroll.
The main sensor we will be using is either pir motion sensor or time of flight sensor.
The sensor will be attached to one or more sides on the box to detect the users.
There will be two motors, both are mounted on surface C. Motor 1 connects surface A, B, and F; Motor 2 connects surface E. Each motor rolls or retracts a certain length to roll or unroll the box. The Arduino, breadboard, power and wires will stay inside the box, we will make the layout tidy and presentable.
The material of the box will be transparent acrylic, and the connection will be metal hinges so that we can make sure they are durable.
