FINAL PROJECT PLAYTEST
Partner: Joann Myung
Week 11 - 11/16/2022
Prototype Fabrication
A prototype was made for our game controller and it worked quite well. We got some plywood from Blick; joysticks and sliders from Amazon; potentiometers, push buttons, stand-offs and screws from the shop; and finally, a keypad from Etsy. Based on our plan, we will have 5 games, so we decided to put 4 buttons, 3 sliders, 2 rotary knobs, 2 joysticks and 1 keypad in the prototype. Some of the items will be reused in our final product.
We took some measurements of the parts and then made the layout. After that we laser cut the box and started assembling. The microcontroller we are using is an Arduino Mega and we have two breadboards, each carrying different voltages (3.3V and 5V, respectively). The measurement, design, and assembly took about 12 hours in total.

The games are still under development, and we will be releasing upgrades in the coming weeks. Unfortunately the keypad is not working, the seller sent us a new one and game 5 will be on once the keypad is received and codes are sorted out.
